Traveling is pretty much like a roller coaster. One bad day with early check out time, diarrhea, 10 hours busdrive, and 100 things to book, coordinate and plan is replaced by a stunning day with a fantastic new hotel with a killer view located in the night life area. Take for example this view from my hotel in the city of Arequipa in Peru. For 10 usd you get the view to vulcano El Misti 5822 m and three other mountains. then you know its all worth it.

Amazing sky. This is actually one of my favorite cities in South America. Why? Because the climate is nice, you are sorrounded by mountains, and there is enough restaurants and shops to keep you busy for a while and the best thing: people are friendly and do not beg and hustle you like in many other cities in Peru. Maybe only Cusco is better than Arequipa…

El Misti 5822 m. To climb this mountain you need a good body in shape, a big back of coca leaf and a guide. I didt have any of that…so I didnt climbed it but i was looking at it every morning from my bed and every night before falling into sleep.
